The first step towards creating your bespoke engagement ring is to have an initial discussion at our Workshop. Although this can of course happen by email or telephone for overseas customers.
Preliminary ideas are raised as to the type of stone desired; commonly a diamond, sapphire, ruby or emerald. Further decisions regarding which metal would best suit the chosen stone, stylistic preferences and also the cut and size of gemstone are also considered. We would show examples of our finished engagement rings to help illustrate different mounting and setting styles, helping us to establish the design brief.
After this initial conversation if you are at all uncertain about your chosen design, our Artist will sketch out the ideas to help clarify the design brief.
Moving forward, working with your preferences and keeping in mind the budget you have set aside, we carefully select diamonds or gemstones to fit the brief.
Once the final design and selected stones are approved, a craftsman in our Workshop will begin to handcraft your ring. Your ring will be made using traditional methods that have remained largely unchanged since the founding of E.Wolfe & Company in 1850.
Between two and three weeks later your bespoke engagement ring will be ready for collection or delivery after having been hallmarked at the London Assay Office.
